Men usually end their sentences with 'Krup' and women end their sentences with 'Ka'. For example, to say Hello in Thai, a man would say 'Sa-wad-dee-krup', while a woman would say 'Sa-wad-dee-ka'.
Basic conversation
Hello = Sa-wad-dee (krup or ka)
Thank you = Kop-khun (krup or ka)
Sorry = Kor-thod (krup or ka)
How are you? = Sa-bai-dee-mai (krup or ka)
Fine = Sa-bai-dee (krup or ka)
I = Pom (for man), Chan (for woman) However, Thai people usually call each other by nickname or use the word 'Phee' if you are older, or 'Nong' if you are younger
You = Khun (formal) or Tur (informal, female,friend) or call another person by his/her name or use the word 'Phee' if that person is older than you or 'Nong' if that person is younger than you
He/She/They = Kao
What is your name? = Khun-chue-arai (krup or ka)
My name is..... = Pom (for man), Chan (for woman)-chue-.....(your name).....
